Rocky Road Travel starts our tours in the capital Port Morsey, before we take you to Mount Hagen and the Central Highlands where you’ll visit local communities. You’ll even get to take part in a traditional pig mumu dish. Regarded as the national dish of Papua New Guinea, this treat is composed of pork, sweet potato, rice, and vegetables. 

You’ll also spend two days at the Mount Hagen festival, which features hundreds of tribes from all over the island.

First staged in 1961, you get to witness each tribe’s traditional clothing, dances and games.

After this, our tour guides take you into the highlands, so you can visit Goroka and Lae before flying back to Port Moresby.
