Among our favourite destinations is Mauritania, located in Northwest Africa and situated on the Atlantic coast. Its capital is Nouakchott, which is also the largest city of Mauritania.

Traditional nomadic culture remains prevalent in Mauritania, especially among the Moors who inhabit the desert regions.

Mauritania is also home to a wonderful menagerie of wildlife, including species like the addax antelope, the Sahara oryx, and various species of birds. It’s home to Banc d’Arguin National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an important area for migratory birds.

A large portion of the country is also covered by the Sahara Desert, which is in the north of the country.
