Equatorial Guinea Tours - FAQs

Most frequent questions and answers for our tours to Equatorial Guinea.

Equatorial Guinea is generally considered safe for travelers, especially when visiting major cities, tourist areas, and guided tour sites. As with any destination, it’s important to take common-sense precautions: avoid isolated areas at night, secure your belongings, and follow local advice. Most visitors experience a trouble-free trip, and guided tours can provide additional safety, convenience, and cultural insight.

The best time to visit is during the dry season, which generally runs from October to May. During this period, the weather is more predictable, roads are easier to navigate, and outdoor activities such as hiking, wildlife spotting, and beach visits are more enjoyable. The wet season (June to October) brings heavy rainfall, which can make travel more challenging, but it also transforms the landscape into lush, vibrant greenery and is ideal for waterfall enthusiasts and nature lovers.

The easiest way to reach Equatorial Guinea is by air. The country has two main airports: Malabo International Airport (on Bioko Island) and Bata Airport (on the mainland) Travelers typically connect via Paris, Douala (Cameroon), or other regional airports. Once in the country, domestic flights, private transfers, or guided tours are the most convenient ways to move between islands and mainland destinations.
